Born and raised in Ontario, David moved to Vancouver in 1989.

Although he started drawing and painting at an early age it was not until after a life-time as a business man that creating art became the core of his existence. His life long dream of becoming a full-time artist came to fruition following an inspirational trip to Australia. From that time on, travel has been the focus for building experience, and knowledge for painting. Trips to England, France, Italy, Spain, the United States and across Canada have contributed to his deep passion for painting on location and in the studio.
